Phat Phunk Drizzle is a gangster to the core. As a young boy, Phat Phunk spent many of his afternoons playing basketball in his driveway. It was during this time that he realized he had an extraordinary talent for basketball. He even had a stint in professional basketball for a while before he realized that rapping was where his heart truly belonged. Phat Phunk realized his talent for rapping while he was involved in some minor gang activity during his grade school days. Drizzle and his pal Gupta would freestyle rap much to the enjoyment of their schoolmates. Despite some rough times in the life of Drizzle that involve drug dealing and gang hits, Drizzle has reformed into the rapper we all know and love today. Von Phat is comprised of many of Phat Phunk’s childhood friends who each have a knack for a particular skill. It was Phat Phunk and his friend Sixpac who originally created the beats and lyrics for the hit song “I’m a Gangster.” The two of them knew they needed to expand the group in order to appeal to fans of multiple genres, so they brought in many of their lifelong friends to form the current Von Phat.

Drew Munhausen was born in Plano, TX and moved to Katy, TX at the age of 5. In junior high and high school, Drew was heavily involved in theatre arts as well as filmmaking. He has entered the Houston 48 Hour film festival numerous times with his friends and their award-winning film team, Vowel Productions. Drew is currently a junior at the University of Oklahoma, where he is majoring in Broadcasting and Electronic Media.
